GTA VI’s Leonida Map Doubles Size of GTA 5 with 170 Animal Species
Rockstar Games has detailed the scope of Grand Theft Auto VI through a Game Informer cover story, confirming the game’s fictional Florida state, Leonida, is twice the size of GTA 5’s map. The title, launching November 19, 2026, features over 170 animal species, dynamic localized weather including hurricanes, and a relationship system for the protagonists Jason and Lucia. While IGN and Aftermath have ranked specific wildlife entries, Rockstar emphasizes the environmental realism and density of the new open world.
