Duke edges Florida State in ACC tourney as late buzzer-game misses the rim
No. 1 Duke narrowly survived Florida State 80-79 in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals. Isaiah Evans scored a career-high 32 with seven 3-pointers, Cameron Boozer added 23 and 10 rebounds, and Maliq Brown sparked a 19-2 second-half run as Duke outrebounded FSU 46-25. Florida State’s Lajae Jones and Robert McCray V led the Seminoles with 28 and 25, respectively, but McCray’s late 3 and a buzzer-beater rimmed out after Chauncey Wiggins blocked Boozer with seven seconds left. Duke played without Caleb Foster (out indefinitely) and Patrick Ngongba II (foot issue). Duke moves on to face the Clemson-North Carolina winner on Friday.
