
Election Commission's Unanimity Claim Sparks New Political Clash Over Voter Roll Disputes
The Election Commission (EC) issued a press note on September 26 asserting that all Special Intensive Revision (SIR) decisions were unanimous and that Form 6 changes were upheld by the Supreme Court. While the BJP and its allies accepted this as a final clarification, the Congress rejected it as insufficient, listing unresolved issues regarding voter disenfranchisement and demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
