
Spider-Man Still No. 1 as Oak Street Opens to $8.1 Million
Spider-Man: Brand New Day led Friday’s domestic box office with about $19 million, while The End of Oak Street opened to $8.1 million in 3,446 theaters and is projected to finish the weekend around $18.7 million. Oak Street, produced for over $80 million, has positive buzz (84% on Rotten Tomatoes) but faces a soft start. PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie is in third with $7.35 million on Friday and should pull in about $20 million for the weekend, while Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is No. 4 with $6.5 million on Friday and an estimated $23 million over the weekend; Katseye: Wild Hearts rounds out the top five with about $3.8 million by Sunday.
