Technics Teams with Fritz Hansen for a Limited Burgundy Edition of Its Entry-Level SL-40CBT Turntable
Technics has unveiled a Fritz Hansen–themed limited edition of its affordable SL-40CBT direct-drive turntable, introducing a deep burgundy finish with a Fritz Hansen plaque and platter mat; only 300 units will be produced and available in October 2026. The standard SL-40CBT remains an entry-level model at $899 with a switchable phono preamp and built-in Bluetooth, designed for newcomers or upgrading from basic setups, and it includes an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge. A companion limited Kaiser Idell Luxus lamp in the same burgundy finish will also be offered (200 units, Asia/Europe exclusive) with pricing to be announced.
