Nebraska State Auditor Probes Red Way Airline's Funding and Failure
Nebraska State Auditor Mike Foley will conduct an investigation into the funding of Lincoln's Red Way airline, which recently announced its shutdown due to financial difficulties. Red Way had received $3 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds from the Lincoln City Council and Lancaster County Board of Commissioners. The state auditor's office will audit Red Way's funding and also investigate the payments made by the Lincoln Airport Authority in relation to the airline's operations. The Lincoln Airport Authority has expressed its cooperation with the audit process.
