Pokémon Bank to Close in 2027, Pushing Transfers to Pokémon Home
Pokémon Bank will shut down on February 25, 2027 at 10:00 p.m. EST, after which Pokémon can only be transferred to Pokémon Home; Gen 3–7 Pokémon will no longer be transferable to Home or Switch titles. Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen on Nintendo Switch will gain Home compatibility in October, and players who link those games to Home will receive the mythical Celebi. Home’s Premium Plan will raise the deposit cap to 9,000 Pokémon (price unchanged). Pokémon Bank launched in 2013, with a 2014 relaunch, and Home has served as the cloud storage hub since 2020.
