Home Depot’s Wi-Fi Enabled 6000-Watt Garage Heater Offers Remote Control but Requires Hardwiring
Home Depot is selling the HEAT STORM 6000-watt garage heater for under $400, a ceiling-mounted unit that produces 20,000 BTUs to heat spaces up to 1,000 square feet. The device features Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing users to control temperature and set schedules via a smartphone app. While it saves floor space and operates quietly, installation requires a professional electrician to set up a 240-volt hardwired connection, as wiring is not included. Buyers report fast heating and ease of installation, though some note limitations in fan power and heating capacity for poorly insulated areas.
