Massive 1,200-pound alligator caught in Texas neighborhood near Houston.
A 1,200-pound, 11-foot alligator with only three legs was captured in a Texas neighborhood by a gator wrangler after a resident spotted it on the side of the road. The alligator, estimated to be 85 years old, was taken to Gator Country, an adventure park and sanctuary in Beaumont. Alligators are not uncommon in Texas, with up to half a million living in the state, mostly in the southern and eastern parts.
