Ghanaian immigrant teen Javits Frimpong fatally shot in Bronx ambush
Javits Frimpong, a 15-year-old Ghanaian immigrant, was fatally shot in the Bronx on October 29, 2026, while walking to school. The victim, who had arrived in the U.S. one year prior to join his father, died at St. Barnabas Hospital after being struck in the abdomen. Police are seeking three masked suspects, while his father links the attack to recent bullying at DreamYard Preparatory School, though authorities have not confirmed a motive.
