Stages SB200 Launch: A Lighter, Smarter Redesign After Giant Acquisition
Stages has launched the SB200, a new indoor smart bike priced at $2,399, which significantly reduces weight and improves fit adjustability compared to its predecessor. The bike features a dual-stage belt drive, 5x increased flywheel inertia, and full shifter integration. It is the first hardware to support the OpenBikeControl protocol. Following Stages' 2024 bankruptcy and subsequent acquisition by Giant, the company has restored customer support and parts availability for older models. The SB200 offers a rider height range of 147cm to 208cm and claims power accuracy of +/- 1% after calibration updates.
