Ferrari Takes Razor-Thin Imola WEC Pole in Hyperpole Finish
Antonio Giovinazzi clinched Ferrari's pole for the 6 Hours of Imola in a razor-thin Hyperpole, beating Toyota's Hirakawa by 0.011s with a 1:30.127 in the No. 51 Ferrari 499P; Hirakawa was second in the No. 7 Toyota, 0.029s behind Fuoco's Ferrari. Peugeot's 9X8, Cadillac, Alpine, and BMWs also featured in the Hyperpole lineup. In LMGT3, Garage 59 took pole on its WEC debut with a McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, and the race starts Sunday at 1 p.m. local time.
