BenQ’s iScreenBar: a dedicated iMac-ready monitor light bar
BenQ unveiled the iScreenBar, a monitor light bar built specifically for the iMac that mounts on the back without blocking the camera or microphone. The aluminum bar lights a desk area at 500 lux over a 33.5 by 19.7 inch area, with a glass touch panel and a macOS app for brightness, color temperature, and lighting modes. It uses presence detection and iMac wake to turn on, can optimize lighting for video calls, and keeps cords tidy with a magnetic clip. Powered via the iMac’s USB-C port, it retails for $189 and works with the 24-inch iMac (2021+).
