Manuel to Step Down as Michigan AD at Year’s End, Reflects on Championship Era
University of Michigan athletics director Warde Manuel will step down at the end of the calendar year after an 11-year run that delivered two national championships and a slew of Big Ten titles. Manuel released a statement praising his staff and student-athletes, and interim president Domenico Grasso said Manuel will stay on to help implement improvement recommendations, remaining AD through the end of 2026.
