Salmonella recall expands to Good & Gather trail mix and other nut blends
Illinois-based John B. Sanfilippo and Son is recalling multiple nut mixes and a Mexican street corn trail mix after potential salmonella contamination. The affected products include Good & Gather, Southern Style Nuts, Fisher, and Squirrel Brand mixes sold at Target and other retailers. The seasoning used contains dry milk powder that had been recalled previously, and the FDA notes the salmonella test on the seasoning was negative before use; the recall is precautionary. Consumers who purchased these items should not eat them and can return them to the store for a refund or replacement.
