Google AI Edge Gallery Arrives on macOS, Showcasing Gemma 4 12B and Eloquent Dictation
Google has brought its AI Edge Gallery to macOS, giving Mac users access to five Google-owned models led by Gemma 4 12B, a 12‑billion‑parameter multimodal model designed to run locally on laptops with 16GB RAM. The gallery also includes Gemma-4-E2B-it, Gemma-4-E4B-it, Gemma-3n-E2B-it, and Gemma-3n-E4B-it, all accessible offline and designed for private on-device use. In tandem, Google released the Google AI Edge Eloquent dictation app for Mac, which transcribes speech on-device, refines text, supports writing styles, and lets users add custom vocabulary for better accuracy.
