
Indictment Unveiled in WHCD Shooting Attempt: 4 Counts Against Cole Allen
A federal grand jury charged Cole Allen with four counts in connection with a plan to attack the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, including attempted assassination of President Trump, discharging a firearm during violence, transporting a firearm across state lines, and assaulting a federal officer. Prosecutors say Allen traveled from California to Washington, D.C., was armed with a shotgun, pistol and knives, and was captured on video near security at the event; he remains in custody awaiting trial, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 11.
