UK Probes London Event Promoting West Bank Settlements
Britain’s Charity Commission is urged to open an urgent inquiry into Edgware United Synagogue after evidence from Middle East Eye and the ICJP that exhibitors at the Great Israeli Real Estate Event promoted property in illegal Israeli settlements (including Ma'ale Adumim, Kfar Eldad, and Teneh Omarim). The government has asked the Advertising Standards Authority to review advertising linked to the event, while MPs criticized the government’s response; police say they are not investigating the matter at this time.
