Brewers Designate Greg Jones as Chourio, Vaughn Return Boosts Lineup
Milwaukee reinstated Jackson Chourio and Andrew Vaughn from the 10-day IL; in corresponding moves, Blake Perkins was optioned to Triple-A Nashville and Greg Jones was designated for assignment. Jones went 2-for-21 with a walk and nine strikeouts in 22 plate appearances. The Brewers have five days to trade, release, or place him on outright waivers; if unclaimed, he’ll be outrighted to Nashville. Chourio and Vaughn’s return should bolster an offense that’s been volatile in recent weeks.
