Kid Rock's New Christian Album Features Eminem and Accused Assailant Jimmie Allen
Kid Rock has announced his upcoming Christian album, 'Halfway 2 Jesus,' set for release on October 17, 2026. The 17-track project marks a significant pivot for the Detroit-born artist, featuring collaborations with Eminem on '7 Sins' and Jimmie Allen on the title track. While the album includes a parental advisory sticker, it is described as a gospel rock record rather than traditional Contemporary Christian Music. The inclusion of Allen, who was found liable for sexual assault in 2022 and paid nearly $2 million in damages, has drawn scrutiny. Kid Rock has not publicly addressed the controversy but previously cited his Christian faith and belief in forgiveness as reasons for avoiding 'cancel culture.' The first single, 'James 1:17 (Jesus Is King),' debuted on October 1, 2026, and the album cover depicts Rock climbing a mountain toward a crucifix while being pursued by the devil.
