Kal Penn is currently in theaters as Dr. Sandeep Kapoor in the biopic 'Trust Me, I'm a Doctor,' a role he describes as his first major queer performance. The film, based on the doctor's 2017 memoir, explores his relationship with Anna Nicole Smith and the legal fallout following her 2007 death. Penn also recently wrapped a role in Gregg Araki's 'The Decline of Fucking Western Civilization' and has signed on for a fourth 'Harold & Kumar' film, which he calls one of the funniest scripts he has read in years.
