Turkish lawmaker Hasan Bitmez, who criticized his country's response to the Israel-Hamas war, suffered a heart attack and collapsed in Parliament moments after declaring that Israel "will suffer the wrath of Allah." Bitmez's heart stopped but was later restarted, and he received medical treatment for his condition. He is in critical condition. Bitmez accused the Turkish government of having an "endless love for Israel" and blamed them for contributing to Israeli bombings. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has also criticized Israel and praised Hamas as "freedom fighters."
