NXT Sets Six-Man Tag and Title Defenses After Heatwave Fallout
WWE NXT on The CW (Sept. 1, 2026) booked a six-man tag team match to determine the next challenger for Grayson Waller’s NXT Championship, alongside title defenses for Jackson Drake and Kelani Jordan. Naraku defeated Shiloh Hill using a mist ploy, while Zilla Fatu beat Tristan Angels and rejected a recruitment pitch from BirthRight. The episode followed the post-Heatwave landscape, where Waller, Jordan, and Drake recently captured their respective titles.
