Two separate ShotSpotter alerts in Pittsburgh's Hill District reported 30 rounds Friday night, damaging four vehicles and multiple occupied apartments; four unknown suspects fled after a confrontation, with no injuries and no arrests at the time of the report.
Two people were killed and one person was critically injured in a shooting in Pittsburgh's Hill District. The victims have been identified as Dean Marbury, 43, and Jawan Montae Palmer, 37. Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert and found Marbury shot in the head and neck, while Palmer and another man arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle. Palmer died from his injuries, and the third victim remains in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact Pittsburgh Police.
