
Former Pop Star Gary Glitter Faces Four Historic Sex Offense Charges In UK Case
Gary Glitter, the former pop singer and convicted sex offender, has been charged with four historic offenses dating from 1978–1981 involving a girl under 13. The charges include one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under 13 and three counts of indecent assault on a girl under 14. Glitter is currently serving a 16-year sentence for earlier convictions and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Aug. 5; the allegations were first reported to police in January 2025.
