Commanders Reveal New Stadium Seating Design Aimed at Maximizing Crowd Noise
The Washington Commanders and architecture firm HKS released the first renderings of the new stadium’s seating bowl on September 16, 2026. The design features a continuous sweep from field level to the upper deck to eliminate obstructed views and maximize acoustics. The venue, scheduled to open for the 2030 NFL season, will replace the current Northwest Stadium and is part of a mixed-use development on the former RFK Stadium site.
