FBI arrests 18-year-old for plotting ISIS-linked mass shooting at Mall of America
Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud, an 18-year-old U.S. citizen, was arrested by the FBI after purchasing an AK-47 and ammunition from an undercover agent. Federal prosecutors allege he planned a mass-casualty attack at the Mall of America during the October 24 Hmong Arts Celebration in support of the Islamic State. Mohamud faces federal charges for acquiring weapons for a crime of terrorism and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on October 19.
