Royal Navy Sailor Convicted of Serial Sexual Assaults Aboard HMS Dauntless
A Royal Navy Able Seaman, Sian Dowsett, 25, was found guilty on six of seven counts of sexual assault over a two-year period aboard the Portsmouth-based warship HMS Dauntless, after a Bulford Military Court heard she groped four fellow sailors (two men and two women), slapped buttocks, squeezed breasts and made lewd remarks. Prosecutors described it as a pattern of harassment. Dowsett will be sentenced at a later date.
