Sarandon Confirms Ongoing Career Impact from Palestine Advocacy at Venice
At the Venice Film Festival, Susan Sarandon stated that she continues to lose major studio roles due to her public support for Palestine. While she noted a shift in public opinion regarding U.S. aid to Israel, she emphasized that industry agencies still actively discourage hiring her. Sarandon expressed gratitude to director Andrea Pallaoro for casting her in 'The Echo Chamber' despite industry warnings, marking a rare high-profile studio project for her since her 2023 agency departure.
