Suspect in 2017 Putney Bridge Attack Found Dead at Chiswick Home
Nicholas Brandram, the 44-year-old suspect in the 2017 'Putney pusher' case, was found dead at his home in Chiswick on Tuesday. The Metropolitan Police described his death as unexpected but not suspicious. Brandram, a former Scots Guards captain and HSBC banker, had been arrested in June 2026 on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm and drug possession before being released under investigation last week. The original incident involved a woman being pushed into the path of a 430 bus on Putney Bridge, an event captured on viral CCTV footage.
