National Geographic’s three-part Pompeii: Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston blends documentary interviews, drama and time-travel–style storytelling to reexamine Pompeii’s final hours. Hiddleston moves between present-day ruins and a staged 79 A.D. Pompeii, exploring survival and humanity with archaeologists and experts, in a format aimed at attracting younger viewers. The series premieres July 22 on NatGeo, with a July 23 Disney+/Hulu streaming release.
