Severe storms wreak havoc in Central Illinois, causing traffic chaos and power outages
Traffic remains at a standstill on I-57 southbound in southern Champaign County and Douglas County after high winds caused several semi tractor trailers to roll over near Tuscola. Downed power poles have also closed U.S. 45 just south of Tolono, and gusts have caused damage to trees, corn fields, and power poles throughout East Central Illinois.
