iFi Launches UP Play and Max Dongles to Bypass iPhone Bluetooth Limitations
iFi Audio has released the UP Play and UP Play Max, two compact USB-C Bluetooth transmitters designed to overcome the limited codec support of iPhones. While Apple devices natively support only SBC and AAC, these dongles add support for higher-resolution standards like LDAC and aptX Lossless. The UP Play Max, priced at $89, enables CD-quality audio streaming, while the $59 UP Play focuses on LDAC. Both devices feature iFi’s K2HD processing technology, a built-in microphone with noise suppression, and low-latency modes for gaming. They are compatible with any USB-C device, including iPhones, Android phones, and PCs, and are available for purchase now.
