City seal record-tying £125m Enzo Fernández deal as Ndiaye joins on deadline day
Manchester City have equalled the British transfer record by signing Enzo Fernández from Chelsea for £125m, while also securing Iliman Ndiaye from Everton for up to £65m on deadline day. Chelsea’s bid to replace Fernández with Lamine Camara collapsed after Monaco pulled out, and Everton’s Balogun bid fell through. City have spent about £327m on midfielders this window, adding Fernández and Ndiaye after earlier signings, with Fernández now touted as the country’s joint-most expensive player alongside Alexander Isak.
