Altmyer impresses in Illini's spring scrimmage.
Despite the cancellation of the spring game, Illini football held a scrimmage-like display to showcase their talent heading into the 2023 season. Incoming Ole Miss QB Luke Altmyer impressed with accurate passes and dual-threat abilities. The defense played with good energy and attitude, and soon-to-be first-round pick CB Devon Witherspoon was in attendance. Head coach Bret Bielema is excited about the talent on the roster and the possibilities for the upcoming season.
