Wife Saves Husband as Ryanair Window Blows Out Mid-Flight
An 18-year-old Ryanair Malta Air flight from Thessaloniki to Memmingen suffered a cabin depressurization when a window dislodged, leaving a man with his head and shoulders outside the cabin for about two minutes. His wife held his legs and, with help from other passengers, pulled him back inside. He is seriously injured and hospitalized, while the plane landed safely back in Thessaloniki. Investigations are underway with Greek authorities and international partners; an adviser for the family suggested the right-engine failure caused debris to strike the window, but investigators have not confirmed this.
