Lilly inks up to $3B multi-program deal with Haisco to expand global portfolio
Eli Lilly expanded its global portfolio by signing a multi-program collaboration with China’s Haisco Pharmaceutical to co-develop up to five innovative targets across multiple therapeutic areas. Lilly will lead IND-enabling and may own global rights or rights outside Greater China per program, in exchange for $87 million upfront and up to $2.97 billion in milestones plus tiered single-digit royalties. The deal adds to Lilly’s ongoing spending spree to broaden its pipeline, which recently included a $1.2 billion Hanmi deal and other biotech acquisitions and partnerships.
