JPMorgan Chase is developing an AI-powered software service called IndexGPT that uses cloud computing and artificial intelligence to analyze and select securities tailored to customer needs. The company applied to trademark the product this month, and it plans to use AI powered by "Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) models." JPMorgan may be the first financial incumbent aiming to release a GPT-like product directly to its customers. The bank is testing "a number of use cases" for GPT technology and is committed to exploring all the ways they can deliver value for the firm.
