A 27-year-old Chicago man, Gerardo Castaneda-Soto, drowned in Lake Michigan near Whiting Lakefront Park. Emergency personnel found him and rushed him to the hospital, but he later died. Further details have not been disclosed.
The body found at the Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife Area in Warrick County on April 22 has been identified as 27-year-old Manuel Heaton of Evansville. Heaton's death is being investigated as a homicide, and the cause of death has not been released.
