Six Intercon Hand Soaps Recalled Across 15 States for Possible Bacterial Contamination
Intercon Chemical Co. voluntarily recalled six hand soap products (2,696 cases) due to potential contamination with bacteria including Pseudomonas and Serratia species. The recall covers 15 states (California, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Mississippi, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin) and was escalated by the FDA to Class II on Sept. 11. Consumers should stop using the recalled products and monitor for symptoms; refunds have not been announced. If illness occurs after use, seek medical attention.
