Today Show Tightens In-Studio Access After Intruder Incident
The Today show has implemented stricter security protocols for studio access following an intruder breaching Studio 1A and lunging at co-host Craig Melvin while shouting a racist slur. The new policy limits a guest’s in-studio entourage to two people and directs others to wait in the green room; NBC News says it is reviewing and enforcing the changes to ensure a safe environment for staff, guests, and crew. The intruder was arrested and no one was seriously injured.
