Apple’s iOS 27 keeps supporting the same iPhone lineup as iOS 26, but macOS Golden Gate, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, and tvOS 27 drop support for 16 older devices across Macs, iPads, Apple Watches, and Apple TVs.
Apple’s iPadOS 27 beta download page briefly included restore images for older iPad Pro models (11-inch 1st/2nd gen and 12.9-inch 3rd/4th gen) that weren’t on the official compatibility list, then the links were removed. Apple hasn’t commented; it appears to be an oversight. An IPSW install attempt on a 3rd-gen 12.9‑inch Pro failed.
