Culture Minister Seeks to Revoke NAZA Directors’ Citizenship
Israel’s Culture Minister Miki Zohar threatened to revoke the Israeli citizenship of NAZA co-directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, calling the Venice-premiered documentary “shocking” and accusing them of betraying the state; he said he would act immediately. The film, which documents alleged Israeli actions in Gaza, has drawn praise at Venice, including a 24.5-minute standing ovation and a special jury prize for the filmmakers.
