"U.S. Critical Infrastructure Under Siege: Iran's Cyber Threat Looms"
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has warned that an Iran-linked hacking group known as "CyberAv3ngers" is actively targeting and compromising multiple U.S. facilities that use an Israeli-made computer system. The group has been infiltrating video screens with anti-Israel messages and has targeted equipment used in water systems, as well as industries such as energy, food and beverage manufacturing, and healthcare. The compromised devices were exposed to the internet with default passwords, highlighting the vulnerability of critical infrastructure to cyberattacks. Less than 10 water facilities have been affected so far, but the incident underscores the need for a full investigation and accountability for those responsible.
