Venice Grants Record Ovation to Gaza Documentary NAZA
The Gaza-focused documentary NAZA, directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor (of No Other Land), earned a record 24.5-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival—the longest in the festival’s history and possibly at any major festival. Added late to the competition, the film is produced by The Guardian and JW Films with Jonathan Glazer as executive producer, and features interviews with 24 Israeli military intelligence officers to examine collateral damage and Israel’s actions in Gaza.
