UK Porn Ban on Strangulation and Incest Takes Effect, Sparking Free Speech Fears
The UK’s Crime and Policing Act 2026 amendments take effect on November 6, criminalizing the possession and publication of pornographic images depicting strangulation, suffocation, simulated incest, or individuals appearing under 16. While the government aims to curb violence against women and child exploitation, critics warn the broad legal definitions could inadvertently ban consensual activities like face-sitting or oral sex. Platforms like iWantClips have already removed 17 fetish categories for UK users, raising concerns about global censorship trends and the impact on adult creators.
