Apple Smart Home Display Launch Expected in October
Apple is expected to unveil its long-rumored smart home display as early as October 2026, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The device, internally designated J490, will feature a compact square screen and run a dedicated operating system centered on Siri AI. It will be available in two configurations: a tabletop model with a base and a wall-mounted version. The launch follows the release of iOS 27, which introduced the necessary AI capabilities that previously delayed the product. Apple is currently testing the device extensively in employee homes.
