Tragic Loss: Longtime Love Island USA EP James Barker Dies at 40
James Barker, a Love Island USA producer who rose from story producer in 2020 to executive producer, died at 40 in Fiji after an unexpected medical emergency. ITV America and Peacock confirmed his death and praised his contributions to production, post-production, and the show’s soundtrack. Love Island USA will pay tribute to him on a forthcoming episode. Barker previously worked on Leftfield Pictures’ Pawn Stars and Counting Cars, and also on Queer Eye and Love Island Games, among other projects.
