Knicks Load Up for Final Roster Spot with Wiseman, Brown and Agbaji

The New York Knicks signed James Wiseman, Bruce Brown and Ochai Agbaji to non-guaranteed Exhibit 9 deals, joining John Konchar and Drew Eubanks as they vie for the 14th and final roster spot ahead of training camp on Sept. 28. With 13 standard contracts currently on the books, the Knicks can only add one more deal to stay under the second apron, and the winner of this competition will convert to a standard contract before the season, a dynamic echoing last year’s approach of veterans contending for a single guaranteed spot that could shape bench depth.

"Emerging Talent: Ausar Thompson Shines for Detroit Pistons in Summer League"

The Detroit Pistons have a 1-1 record in the NBA Summer League, with James Wiseman getting the opportunity to lead the team as a veteran presence. However, the "two big" lineup pairing Wiseman with Jalen Duren may not be working well, as Wiseman needs to improve his shooting and assertiveness on offense. Defensively, Wiseman has not shown his potential as an effective rim protector. It is suggested that Wiseman come off the bench, with Duren as the starting center, for better fit and spacing on the court.
