Missouri lands Tennessee transfer Jaylen Carey to beef up frontcourt
Missouri landed Tennessee transfer Jaylen Carey, a 6-8, 265-pound forward and elite offensive rebounder who averaged 7.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 18 minutes per game this season. Carey has also played at James Madison and Vanderbilt, making him a rare three-time transfer. He will help overhaul Missouri’s frontcourt under Dennis Gates as the Tigers aim to boost their offensive rebounding after ranking 117th last year; Missouri is also pursuing Jamier Jones and Bryson Tiller, with Trent Pierce returning, potentially giving them a formidable SEC front line next season.
